Silk
Category:
Spread Adjuvant
Silk is a new generation wetting and spreading agent. Active ingredient of Silk reduces surface-tension of water droplet. As wetting agent enhances performance of herbicides and pesticides by dramatically reducing the product’s surface tension, results in better spread and penetration of herbicides on the targeted leaves. This improved efficacy and to minimize the amount of the chemicals needed. Super spreading property allows farmers to reduce dose of pesticide, fungicide or herbicide.
Composition: Trisiloxane Surfactant 45%.
Mechanism Of Action
- Silk fibers can adhere to the plant surface, providing a substrate for the active ingredients in pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides.
- This enhanced adhesion helps in retaining the applied substances on the plant, reducing the risk of run-off.
- It has the potential to act as a carrier for the active compounds, allowing for a slow and controlled release over time.
- Enhancing the adherence and retention of the active ingredients enables achieving effective results with reduced application volumes.
- This controlled release can prolong the efficacy of the pesticide, herbicide, or fungicide, ensuring a more sustained protection period for the crops.
Benefits of Silk
- The reduction in surface tension facilitated by it allows for improved wetting and coverage of the leaf surface.
- By reducing the required dose of pesticides and fungicides, silk contributes to environmentally sustainable agricultural practices.
- It’s compatibility with different pesticide and fungicide formulations makes it a versatile and adaptable solution
- This ensures a longer duration of effectiveness, even in variable weather conditions.
- Farmers can achieve effective results with reduced quantities
Mixing And Application
Foliar Spray:
Approximately, dilute 5ml of Silk in 15 Liter of water for spray application of various pesticide, fungicide and herbicide.
